OVFC was toned out at 04:45 for a homeowner who could see a large orange fire ball in the distance, possibly IAO Derbyshire rd. OVFC units 25-03, 25-02 began searching the area while engine companies were responding. After several minutes, 25-03 was able to find a working barn fire just outside OVFC district at 222 Dunbar Hollow Rd. 25-03 declared a signal 30, and brought in a full response from Westerlo, and Berne fire companies. Units found a former abandoned house that was transformed into a barn full of hay. 2/3rds of the structure was already on the ground by the time units arrived. Unfortunately, a family of pigs did not survive the fire. Command was eventually turned over to Westerlo 39-01, since it was in their district.
